Current UW-Madison students interested in the Psychology major can SCHEDULE a Psychology Advising Appointment with a Psychology Academic Advisor (see below).
Academic Advising appointments are made through Starfish. You can access Starfish from your MyUW dashboard. Here are instructions on how to use Starfish.
When scheduling, please select whether you want Zoom (virtual) or In-person as your location. Please contact [email protected] with any Psychology academic advising or appointment related questions or accommodation requests.
For In-person meetings, you will select the room location of your advisor in 438 Brogden Psychology Building. When you arrive for your appointment, please wait in the chairs in the hallway outside room 438. Your advisor will come greet you at the start of your appointment time.
You can find the Zoom meeting link in the appointment confirmation and/or reminder emails you receive when making an appointment via Starfish. If you need assistance with Zoom, please refer to these FAQs and Getting Started guides.
Psychology Academic Advisors are available throughout the year for appointments with current UW-Madison students. Our appointment slots are posted one week in advance, typically on Wednesdays. During peak advising times (November and April), appointments are limited to declared Psychology majors only.
Appointments must be made with at least 24 hours advanced notice. Students are allowed one 30-min appointment in a two-week period. If you cannot be reached within 10 minutes of the start of your appointment time, you will be considered a ‘no show’ and required to reschedule.
If you need to CANCEL an appointment, you must do so through Starfish.
